My approach as a mentor who truly understands because I’ve been there.
My name is Tommy, I’m a 21-year-old mentor specializing in supporting young people facing challenges like ADHD, anxiety, depression, poor mental health, and a lack of identity or purpose. What makes my approach unique is that I’ve walked the same path many of my mentees are on—I’ve been where they are.
As a neurodivergent young man with ADHD, I understand how it feels to be misunderstood, lost, or overwhelmed by emotions. My teenage years were turbulent—I struggled with anger, got into trouble with the law, and hit rock bottom when I saw the impact my actions had on those I loved. That moment of clarity drove me to turn my life around and channel my energy into something positive.
Boxing became my outlet, helping me discipline my mind and body while achieving success in both domestic and international competitions. But I realized that true change required more than physical discipline—it demanded self-awareness, purpose, and a strong identity. I dedicated myself to self-development, reading extensively, reflecting deeply, and earning qualifications in youth mental health and adverse childhood experiences.
Today, I work as a specialised behavioral mentor in Bath and Bristol, helping at-risk young people overcome challenges similar to the ones I’ve faced. My philosophy is simple: I am “one of them.” I understand their thought processes and struggles because I’ve lived them. This relatability allows me to connect in a way that feels natural and safe, while my experience and internal growth give me the tools to guide them toward positive change.
Through patience, understanding, and tailored guidance, I help young people channel their energy and emotions into a sense of purpose. By fostering a positive sense of self and direction, I believe even those who seem the most lost can transform their lives and unlock their incredible potential for good.
Let’s work together to turn struggle into strength, challenges into opportunities, and potential into purpose.

Answers to Common Questions About My Mentoring Services
What ages do you work with?
I primarily work with young men under the age of 18 who are struggling with
mental health challenges, ADHD, or a lack of direction and purpose.
What qualifications do you have to mentor young people?
I have specialized training in youth mental health and adverse childhood
experiences, as well as first-hand experience overcoming the challenges I now
mentor others through. I’ve also earned qualifications related to neurodivergence
and behavioral support.
The process begins with a free consultation to understand the specific needs of
the young person. From there, we work together to create a tailored action plan,
followed by a series of structured sessions aimed at addressing specific areas of
development. Regular feedback from parents and guardians ensures we stay on
track.
How long does the mentoring process last?
The duration of the process can vary depending on the individual’s needs and
goals. Typically, we work in blocks of 6-8 weeks, with ongoing reviews to adjust
the approach as needed.
Yes, I encourage active involvement from parents or guardians. Regular
feedback and open communication are key to ensuring the process is successful.
Parents often provide valuable insights, and we’ll schedule check-ins to keep
them updated on progress.
What makes your mentoring approach different from others?
My approach is built on my own lived experiences as a neurodivergent young
man who has faced similar challenges. I combine this with professional training
and practical strategies tailored to each individual’s needs, creating a personal
and effective approach that truly resonates.
How do I know if mentoring will be right for my child?
The free consultation is an excellent opportunity to discuss your child’s needs,
and together we can determine if mentoring is the right fit. The first few sessions
also help assess the young person’s engagement and the potential for growth.
What happens if my child doesn’t engage with the mentoring
process?
If a young person is hesitant or resistant at first, I take time to understand their
concerns and adjust my approach to meet them where they are. Building trust
and rapport is key, and we’ll work together to find a way forward.
How much does the mentoring program cost?
Pricing details can be provided during the consultation, and I offer different
packages based on the length and intensity of the sessions.
Is there any flexibility in scheduling sessions?
Yes, I understand that flexibility is important. We’ll discuss the best days and
times for sessions based on your child’s schedule and commitments, things
come up and i am more than happy to rearange sessions on occasion if given
ample pre-warning.
